Our Green Initiatives

All About Kids is one of the only green childcare centers in the country.

All About Kids believes it is important for our staff to educate our children on how to become stewards of our earth. Our staff emphasizes the green philosophy as part of our daily activities through gardening and nature education. We are transitioning our existing centers and constructing our new centers with equipment that allows us to capture rain water and store it on site in water tanks. The children will use this water to irrigate the landscaping and vegetable gardens. The children are educated on photosynthesis and how seeds grow into plants. We start these seedlings in our classrooms then the children transplant the seedlings to the outside gardens where they can watch the plants grow and in turn produce a crop to harvest.

Along with this education concept with nature we are constantly reminded throughout our facility about recycling with our color coded waste receptacles and posted conserve energy notes.
